So I wanted to write and first say sorry to everyone who follows this blog for not updating in forever! There are a lot of reason I haven't gotten a chance to blog 1st and foremost I GOT MARRIED!! I know I know that is no excuse :) but it was a crazy time and my energy went into my clients and starting my marriage! Well now that it has been 4 months I think it is time to start new! "Trash the Dress" Shannon and Randy: MEXICO

So the day after the wedding we headed out for a little trash the dress session! I love how these turned out and we had such a great time shooting them! With the audience of random people on the beach cheering and awing and the sun just hanging there bearly lit in the evening sky, it made for great pictures!! Thank you so much again Shannon and Randy we had such a great time hanging out with you two!

The Video below is from my really good friend Matt Brue of www.capturestudios.net we went down and shot this wedding together, he is the BEST VIDEOGRAPHER in these parts! I love working with Matt so much because what he does and what I do complement each other so much,(plus he is one of the most rockin dudes around)! I totally recommend him to everyone out there reading this, you have to have him shoot your wedding! I know that I wouldn't ever want my wedding without his touches that is why im hiring him to do mine too!! SERIOUSLY CALL HIM, I promise you wont regret it!!!

Austin Texas!!! A city of music, fun, and a couple that is crazy in love! I love these two people so much, there hearts for each other is one of the most beautiful things you can ever see! It is so cool when you hang out with a couple who truly believes that they are the exact right person for each other, it was definitely obvious to everyone there that they really are! I had the best time flying out there to hang out with the family and all the friends(everyone was so great!), with emotions and love in the air, Texas really showed me its true colors! Thank you Stephen and Carleigh so much for letting me capture your day, it was such a blessing to be there and celebrate with you. My awesome friend Matt with Capture Studios "BEST VIDEOGRAPHER EVER!" and I went to mexico a week ago and shot an AWESOME destination wedding together! Even though we may have looked stupid being all covered up we were trying to be protected! I am the one with the towel and he is the other one... Wow it was so weird to see everyone wearing masks and stuff but we took it a step further and wore gloves... I hope it gives you some laughs!! ha ha Happy Tuesday!

What an AMAZING day! I have known these two for a long time and just love them both! The best part is they are even better together. The way they love each other is inspiring to all who see it! Wow what to say... I don't even know where to start? I always get SO excited when I travel, the tastes, smells, colors, and culture is enough to make me a really happy person. Jamaica is really a place of its own. I wasn't sure what to expect for a wedding here. In my mind I pictures beautiful beaches and resorts, but on the other hand I pictured the slums and famine and a very dangerous place. Well I do believe this place had both but the one thing that really stuck out in my mind while leaving was Emily and Andrew and their love for each other. There was one point while we were taking pictures that I just couldn't help but be amazed, they were in there own world taking the beautiful view in of the ocean crashing on the shore. A kiss on the shoulder and a blush of the cheek it was enough to make anyone filled with JOY. We had such a great week, their friends and family were truly AMAZING and made the whole week (or should I say wedding week) absolutely a hoot. Thank you so much Emily and Andrew for letting me be a part of your day, you two have something special and I am thankful to know you and to have witnessed it! May God BLESS your life together! Love ya guys!

Today is my Birthday!!

This has already been one of the best birthdays I have ever had! It has been more of a birthday week, from shooting on the weekend to long boarding with friends around lake Calhoun to Brandon making me a birthday cake... ah I just don't see how it could get any better! Even though I know it probably happens to most people there is something about waking up and seeing people have written "Happy Birthday" on your facebook wall, it cant help but make you feel warm and fuzzy on the inside! So I decided I would write a post to thank everyone out there for all the kind and very sweet birthday wishes they mean the world to me!! I know that it is sure to be a great day filled with family, friends, a lot of fun, and laughter! This year seemed to have passed faster than I could have imagined, it is always amazing to me how a year can seem like a day, and it is such a reminder to me to make ever day count.
I really want to say thank you to all of my friends out there that I have had the amazing opportunity to be a part of your lives this year (weither through photography or any other way)! You have all impacted my life in such a beautiful way you could never imagine. I want you to know, I would not be the person I am today without all of you! Thank you for you continuous encouragement and support and for covering me with love everyday! Finally a special thank you to my girl friend for flying here to Minneapolis to see me!! Gosh talk about the best birthday EVER! Finally last but definitely not least a special thank you to my Mom and Dad for always being there for me and showing me true love and being the parents and friends that you are, I love you both SO MUCH! Grace and Ben: Wisconsin Wedding

Who knew that Wisconsin could be so beautiful, a little harbor town on lake Michigan so quaint and peaceful. There was one catch to this trip, it was our nights stay in Kewaunee. What Brandon and I didn't realize when we arrived was that the Kewaunee Inn is a Haunted Hotel... Yeah tell me about it. We didn't even know till later that night when we found out it is actually registered as a haunted Inn. As you can imagine it was a tough nights sleep. Nothing really happened except the TV going haywire at around 2:30 and hearing pounding on the floor. Maybe it was all in my head but one thing I know for sure is if you want a scare that is where you should go! Other than that this was one of my favorite weddings, beautiful sky's, great people, and alot of laughter! I would do it again in a heartbeat!!
Thank you Grace and Ben for allowing me to be apart of your day and I pray your love overflows to all around you, I cant wait to come to Chicago and see you guys!!

Wisconsin: Anytime

My friend Brandon and I went to Keawaunee, Wisconsin this past weekend to shoot Grace and Ben's wedding( It was AMAZING, I will be posting the pictures in the next few days!)! When we got there the storm hit, but after it past we ran down to the bay and got some great pictures of the storm over lake Michigan. The sky just opened up and the rainbow just made me stand in awe! I love those moments that bring you back to earth and realize how beautiful our world really is!

This is to get you excited for the wedding! We got to use this field!

So I was scoping out the area the day before the wedding and came across these cows. I was taking pictures of them and then the farmer came out, expecting to get kicked out I started walking back to the car, he yelled over too me "want to get some better pictures?" Little did I know he loves photography and asked if I wanted to go into the back and see the baby cows that were just born! Talk about friendly people! Wisconsin is great!

The last weekend in June and the temperature is only 70 degrees...that is Minnesota... or maybe Antarctica!; ) This was a day filled with so much joy and happiness you could just feel it! I have known Ryan and Brooke separately even before they were couple, which is crazy to me! But these two complete each other in such a beautiful way! This is the first wedding that I was part of the wedding party and also the photographer and it was such great FUN! I had a great time and I am so blessed to call both of them my friends. There is such a sense of confidence and joy in these two, and everyone who meets them is envious of the love they have for each other. I am so honored to have been apart of such a special day!
